She is a clinical psychologist, neuropsychologist, certified cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist (certificate no. 25), certified schema psychotherapist (advanced certificate no. 3631), and a practitioner in the field of psychological diagnosis and psychotherapy. Her scientific interests and current research areas focus primarily on the neurodevelopmental basis of depressive and personality disorders (mainly borderline personality disorder); J. Panksepp’s concept of brain emotional systems; J. Young’s theory of early maladaptive schemas; and the biological foundations of attachment. The theoretical assumptions and experiential techniques derived from schema therapy are particularly close to him in both scientific work and clinical practice. Her is the author of over 300 scientific publications, including works devoted to personality disorders and to the biological and psychological etiology of early maladaptive schemas.
